Let me put your mind at rest over the alts/bots question. There was indeed an alts platform on the DI club sim in January-February 2008, when it first became apparent that DI was losing visitors. It was located on the southern border of Incubus Islands, at a height of 750 metres.
In recent times they resorted to using a sploder in the ICE Mall sim to distort traffic numbers there, because of the increasing amount of unrented stores. The sploder would be rezzed for an hour or two, and then removed. On a Friday not so long ago, they collected a massive 65 sploder hunters on the sim.
The allegation that DI staff were using alts on the dancefloor seems to have originated around the same time they rezzed the alts platform at the start of this year. The allegation was persistant, and they were unable to shake it.
Not illegal, plenty of places use the same tactics. They did it to raise the club profile in Search, and to fool clubbers and store renters that the sims were more popular than reality. It's just a great shame that they needed to resort to such secretive methods to try and bucket the water out of a sinking boat.

Did they increase traffic with alts or bots to be higher on the search. Unfortunately it screwed alot of other clubs trying to make it. I can only speak for myself but when I opened my club I was banned and accused of adding DI group members to my group. Just goes to show they didn't want anyone to have a choice. I'll get a picture of the next nobbie sploder at Ice mall to add to this post. The games and the lies these two people (Ayor & Luca) have shown are finally over. Lets move on and forget about them.

As far as Dirty was concerened I also felt bad for him. Syriana and Luca both tried taking him down because of that pic. They both spread it around the gay crowd like fire. I have a fake profile pic in mine now.

Marco Polo designs have been reportedly in the past as being copies. I'm not foresure it's true but makes you wonder with the group he ties himself with. Luca has been known to say this before to people.
Every club has platforms to higher traffic counts and foll people. Again they are being falsly accused. As far as the Dj that worked at Di luca fired them because they sluted themselves all of sl playing in other clubs. Let it be known the dj's but syriana and rocco were the best anyways. For me, working at DI was just a job. I did my time, and left of my own accord. Two days after leaving, I became aware Luca was spreading stories.
I thought my time at DI had been good and productive, but since I had left, Luca's brain assumed I must be speaking ill about DI, and he decided to make sure he got the boot in first. And so DI followed me, harming my reputation. It had become the job from hell.

Luca and Syriana were fucking when Di was still open. Now it is Luca and Gian Carlo fucking and Jake and Syriana are currently fucking. I think Syriana is trying to turn over a new leaf and shake off the devilinside curse. The last good DJ they had, and doing 6 slots a week right up to the last hours of devilinside. She is a hard worker and did her best for her employers.
No one told her it was closing, the whole grid knew before she did, so she got it in the neck too. I wish her well for the future and rebuilding her sl career after the devilinside mess.

As for Marco I don't have much positive to say about him either.
We got him established in the builder world giving him many of his first jobs and recommending him around, he fell in with a bad crowd I guess.
Business wise we had paid him to design and build a rentals building which was deleted once it was in use.
Why was it deleted? Because Luca was upset with Devilfish and it's staff members.
The upset happened after he attacked the stores in our mall and we made our store owners fully aware of what kind of child was smashing their profits at one mall whilst they paid for rental space in his own Ice Mall.
Needless to say Marcopol is no longer a biz partner.
Oh so many tales of the dodgy DI crew but I'm sure you all have your own.
I'm just glad to see my little 'caravan park' outlasted the super club ;-)

Marco is scum. He is know to copy others work and claim it as his own. People are sick of him and wish he'd leave sl as well. Unfortunately he won't. Luca banned boots and shawn mission for having a successful gay beach. Which is still very popular. Maybe he should have learned a few things about respecting people from them.

I agree that Syri got hurt bad by this. One of the first questions I asked when I heard of the closing was if staff knew. The person who told me about the closing asked some questions and told me that Syri hadn't been informed. She was devoting quite a bit of time to DI and if she was among the only staff who "followed the rules" ie not "sluting (herself) out to other clubs" this put her in a position where she was left without any jobs. She can do recover, I'm sure, but the shock must have been tremendous.
I think the truth is that the death of DEVILinside passed with hardly a ripple. Very few IM'd me about it. I don't know anyone who stayed in the DEVILinside group.
In the end it was like a neglected flea bitten dog crawling into a corner to die, snapping and foaming at the mouth. People had stopped looking and no one cared. What a sad end.

Nah not just the Devilfish owners, the whole of the Devilfish Staff were banned regardless of how involved they were with our project(s)..Salesmen and resellers to the managers and event hosts. The only folk he didn't ban was our DJs, I guess he needed those for his own club success...
Some club attenders and DF staff members were approached by Luca and given an ultimatum - quit working for Devilfish and you can come back to DI but until then an estate ban was given.
Another example of his mature behaviour. I guess it hit him hard when he realised Devilfish owners wouldn't stand idle and watch him wreck their biz. Sure he's 'just a kid' and we let him get away with a lot but in seeing just how respectful he was to people pouring money into his mall....Something had to be said and done.
Anyway enough bitching from myself. Mr Pera (i'll ban Axis Carter from my land yet still buy his products and support his stores) is no angel either...
It's a shame to see such a big club and meeting place fall the way it has. The guys behind the project have a chance to step back and restablish themselves in an honest way, I hope they take advantage, admit their wrongs and move forward without latching onto other people and dragging them down too.

I am a ex friend of Luca and yes he does trash everyone he comes in contact with. He got bit by a spider is what he has been telling everyone and he has been in and out of hospital beds. I have made several comments on this particular item to date and would like to make one further. Quite simply this, the actions of those that ran DI speak for themselves so I will not comment further on that as Ive said sufficient in previous postings. However, what I do want to say is this. There are others like those that ran DI on SL. It is not awash with these individuals but they are there all the same.
The tactics, albeit as subtle as they try to use them, are exactly the same devious, underhanded tactics and when they are discovered for what they really are.... they too shall go the way of Ayor and his cohorts!

There are plenty of great clubs in SL that treat people with respect, BLU, Club High Energy and Pavilion to name a few. Great DJ's and staff. These are the kind of clubs that we need to focus on and let the clubs like DI go to hell.
