Then the retailers designers make a replica of this and get the item made for the public to buy. This is common practice within the fashion community. There is no voilation of copyright and it is only a violation if the creater says they invented the design himself. Therefore there is no infringement made.

The annoying thing about these boots for me is the lazy design and poor build techniques.
Considering you would have paid L$ 550 for them - which is not a small amount of money - just compare with what else is available from better designers in that price range, or for much less.

What customers don't know about Muism is, you are not paying for quality or fresh design. You are paying to cover their advertising bill. Its no secret that Muism paid HUGE amounts in advertising the place, and thats the only reason anyone every heard of it.... but the quality of the merchandise never lived up to the promise. They are just trying to siphon off as much cash as possible before they bail out.

I was given Muism vouchers from a friend who didn't want them, and happily went along to the store. Had a look around, couldn't find anything that struck me as worth having. The clothing looked dull, shabby, and dated. So I looked at the drinks vendor machine they have for sale and stood there a long time thinking about buying that.
In the end I decided not to waste the vouchers and gave them away to a friend. Those vouchers changed hands at least four times that I know of. Crazy, isn't it? I can't think of another store I would do that at lol.
It's all thrown together. The hair is scary. Many designers think they got to cocky thinking they could do it all. In the mean time people around them started appearing with lower priced high quality fashion. They can't compete anymore. Back to a rl job Migi. I hear rice fields need help.

Rocco is just self-destructive. When he gets given a club to manage and it seems like nothing can go wrong, he consistently fucks up. He has been manager of Probe, Badboys, Devilinside, Club Essential, and they all went to the wall under his management. His latest club seemed OK, but he is fucking it all up again. He is crashing clubs at a rate of one every 2-3 months, and that's including unemployment time.
He keeps seeing a big red button in front of him called "AUTO DESTRUCT" and frantically jumps up and down on it until something happens lol.

If your going to consider yourself a designer don't copy. Chinease people are known to make fakes and replicas of other peoples works. Muism Frauds.
Please refrain from generalizations about an entire group of people. There are so many amazing Asian designers out there who do not photosource and rely solely on hand-drawn quality. Even those who photosource do it in such a way that the product is their own. Regardless of where a designer is from, either quality or trash can come from their lines. Anyone can fake or replicate, regardless of nationality, and it has happened plenty in all represented nations in Second Life.

Have to accept you get a very wide spread of residents in Second Life. Most cheerfully get along and enjoy their time but for others its a struggle. It's the same mix as in rl, you can get on with some, others strike you as oddballs.
I actually have a pair of the originals and sadly these boots are a sad knock off of my originals. I think when a (fashion designer) in second life takes credit and the name of a rl designer they should at least give them credit to the inspiration. Muism I lost alot of respect for and will not be back.

I feel bad for young people playing sl. They are missing the best time of there life. As far as people having set themselves up in sl as a real job is also sad. I couldn't imagine sitting behind a computer all the day and night. Sure at first it's addicitng but the novelty wears off and then what? Your stuck in virtual and you lost whats most important your real life. I also agree if your fortunate to have the chance at college study and experience it. You'll be happy you did.

I see Rocco's making a nuisance of himself again. He started spamming the INV group with his Reece Carling alt (which he's now deleted). I have seen first hand at how utterly obsessed he is with Ammon and this very publication INV. When I worked at DevilInside last summer, the guy was completely paranoid and obsessed with INV. He was always talking about INV, how much he hates them, with such vengeance and fury - I remember thinking rocco you need to get over your hangups.
I even remember Gregster Kidd once telling me that rocco was so down one night asking why nobody appeared to like him! He couldn't understand why apparantly.
Whenever rocco jumps on the mic to DJ, he always clears a club because he sounds so monotonous and has little enthusiasm or zeal. His choice of music always leaves a lot to be desired. I first heard him at probe and he brought that cool club to a crashing halt. Then there was some huge giasco with him over at bad boys I believe.
The owner of Yumbo hired him to build their mall because he pitched how great he could make it for them. The finished result left a lot to be desired. Unaligned edges, unmatching textures. It looked like an amateur newb had thrown up the gates of hell by the time he'd finished. The owners must have spent several weeks correcting all his mistakes from what I recall.
Now it seems MUISM has hired him to be their new DJ. Many of us can't comprehend the logic of doing so, but it seems icemocolo doesn't implement good business sense as of late. His antiquated designs leave a lot to be desired for and well there's not really much more we can add about his viviene westwood imitation boots now can we?

I think underneath it all Rocco is a good guy, dedicated to DJ'ing, tries hard to succeed, although it doesn't come easy to him. Mainly because he is a central participant in a vicious feud that has raged for a year inside and outside Second Life. However successful he might have been his own actions have repeatedly crippled him and lost him friends.
I congratulated Rocco on his new club at Muism, and as there had been feud peace for about a month I rated his chances of success. I said that it would be best for all if this peace was maintained and that the two parties kept a safe distance from each other, and if not, there would be renewed fighting and casualties, mainly Rocco again. It didn't take a prophet to realise that. I was having the same conversation with InVdaily, and persuaded them not to publish a planned article about Muism. To my surprise, and to its credit, InVdaily agreed. Peace at Christmas!
A few days ago Rocco logged in with his alt Reece Carling, opened up chat in the InVogue Hommes group and raged against, attacked and insulted InV group members. The reason why I don't know and I am still puzzled about it. This happened while I was offline, and by the time I was online InVdaily had already published this article about Muism as there was no reason for them not to, due to Rocco's own actions
Rocco used to be on my Friend's List and I have always held an affection for him. I have spoken to him sometimes peacefully, sometimes harshly, very harshly at times. I probably should realise that he is an adult, responsible for his own fate and it's not my duty as a lovesick puppy to steer him into safe waters. I like the guy, he apologised to me once, which led me to think he is worth time and effort.
I tried, but he takes everything the wrong way, it keeps going wrong, and it's all poisoned by his 24/7 involvement in the feud. Maybe one day when this is all over, we can be friends again. In the meantime Rocco, I wish you success in life and Second Life, try and do the right thing and be good.

Theft is never a good thing, its making money off the back of someone elses work. Its not that hard to be creative and make a product with a spark of originality, as thousands are in sl.

...I will adress what Stupid Rocco said. He'd rather work 40 hrs in sl than a rl job. He admires Ice. (lol) Just being logical, What happens when you want to retire? (lol). What happens when the next big thing comes out? (lol) How about health and life insurance? (lol). Work a real job and have sl on the side dude. Don't be ignorant (which you are)and want the easy way. To sum this boot up in my own words is straight jacket boot. Vooms creations are not worth my time fighting the lag, 30 mins to rez upon landing, poor customer service, poor quality,and way over priced. Muism fashion has took a deep downward spiral. I wouldn't pay for that little above noob junk anymore. The day they realize other designers have past them is the day they will start improving. It's an ego trip fro them because they don't want to see their flaws and want us to either. Thats why they are making a big deal about this and hating inV.

...Let me clarify something here. In my opinion Muism doesnt stand up anymore to other designers quality and price. They are average designers in 09 still desperatly trying to play the Muism name that once was great. I am not mad at Ice or Migi just being honest. When they stop playing the pity card to friends and face reality they will improve. Evey person I have spoke to has said this boot is awful and the hair is hidious. So the people protecting you are also hindering you because you both can do so much better.
