inV Tips Its Hat to Frolic Mills' Casablanca Boulevard

On September 13th at exactly 11am SLT, Frolic Mills officially opened to the public his latest addition to the high end luxury mall segment of the BEST OF SL group of companies, the Casablanca Boulevard. The grand opening ceremonies came in the form of a black-tie gala party of which numerous designers, members of the SL press, and friends were in attendance.

The Casablanca Boulevard was designed by Patch Thibaud, who had recently brought into Second Life the fabulous Best Of SL Boulevard. With the unveiling of his latest work of art in the form of the Casablanca Boulevard, he has raised the bar yet another notch higher. What will be up Patch's sleeve next? We shall have to wait to discover for ourselves once work begins on the 5 star Casablanca Suites & Hotel, to be erected on the adjoining Sim.

But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let's get back to our main topic: The Casablanca Boulevard, located on a Sim to the South of the Best Of SL Boulevard. Not a mere extension of the original mall, this new area has a completely different ambiance, airy and spacious would aptly describe the architecture, with whimsical bits added as part of the decor such as the rendition of 3 male 'newbie' avatars in the popular AFK poses (it's not just whimsical, it's hilarious! You almost want to go over and heckle them for camping at the Boulevard).

At this splendid new locale, as one would expect, top designers populate the stores just as they had at the Best Of SL Boulevard. The congregation of so many beautiful items for sale in one place just takes the frustration out of everyone's favorite pastime of shopping.

The gala opening party was quite an impressive shindig, with entertainment provided for by Eris Alexandre of Trauma in the guises of Angelijade Writer and Jonas Lunasea as live performers. The VIP guests included a list of who's who in the Second Life community.

Looli Hoffman, the owner of Club XTC was there; as was Scope Cleaver, Guy Winkler, the CEO of Metasaver. Angel Tzara of Torridaffair, Samsara Nishi of Sams Secret Botique, Cerra Denja of Denja Visual Arts, Tjake Kearny of Jewelry by Jake together with his lovely partner Sommes Discovolante, Elysium Eilde of Second Look Studio, Jackson Vantelli of Quarters, Katlaya Greggan of Beauty Design and Fashion, Mimi Juneau of Mimi's Choice, Nadja Baxter, Indyra Seigo of Indyra Originals, Victoriav and Vasgez McMillan of VickyV, Yelmer Pfeffer of Alphamale, Mariska Simons of Blacklace, Sysy Chapman of Sysy's, Milla Micinaga of .MichaMi., Dancer Dallagio representing Stilleto Moody Shoes, Harper Beresford of House of Rfyre, Antonia Mara of Artill Eri, Mrohs Baxton of Edge Desgins, and Artworld Market of SLART.

Other beautiful people that were there included a few of the Miss SL Universe finalists: Barbarella Fousing and Patking Miles. Top model Pup Witherspoon was also there.

Numerous members of press organizations in and around Second Life were also on hand to experience the event.

Shopping in style just became a reality in Second Life, and my guess is that CASABLANCA BOULEVARD is here to stay!

I have been saving my trip for the weekend, as looking at the pictures in Ahbee's article, I knew there was going to be a lot to see...

And what a beautiful sim. It's the perfect architectural blend of Second Life and Real Life. Rather than list everything I love about it, I will just lump it altogether: love it. A new landmark for my inventory!
