Greetings Everyone,
As many of you know, the economic times are not just tough around the world. Las Vegas has been especially hard hit. Unemployment has skyrocketed in this town and it is now over 10% and it is still rising. Major Hotels and Casinos have fallen on extremely tough times and I'm sure you will see many of them start to go bankrupt in the next few days and weeks. After talking to my boss on the phone last night, it is painfully apparent that I will also be losing my job in the next couple of days. There simply isn't the economic structure to support the business that I am in during these times.
I have obtained a form of employment that should keep food on the plate, for awhile anyway. However, sacrifices must be made and the choices are difficult. I have decided to have Cable TV, High Speed Internet Service and the Telephone in my house all disconnected. I will keep my cell phone. The savings will be 50-60/week and that, in essence, is my monthly car payment.
I have made many friends here and have grown very close to some. I hope that this time away will be short, but I know that things move fast in SL and everyone will move on quickly.
I am calling to have my services disconnected this morning. I don't know exactly how long it will take them to get around to turning it off, so I am saying goodbye now. It was fun, but it's now time to deal with the Real World and its cold, hard facts.
Bye bye,
Cracker

Personal I sit in tears over this one, as Cracker is my first boy. Seeing this one leave breaks my heart.
For those that know Cracker he has a heart of gold and never complains. Always has a joke or making one.
To see this happen to him just truely breaks me, because for such a young man he had his life so together.
Not sure which is sucking worse atm RL or SL but damnit not liking either right now.
love you cc

CRACKER!!!! your going to be very missed. I wish you the very best and hope to see you soon.
God Bless, I recently had a close friend leave sl too do to the economic recession. People are seeing that at the end of the day what means most is their first lives.
I saw you almost every day on my daily stop into the shop. I hope all goes well and my thoughts are with you. Though you may not know when you will return, just know that we are waiting for you!

Times have changed in our sl and rl. I learned to cut back in my second life to give to my real life. Anymore cutting I will eventually have to leave. Maybe it's time anyway things have gotten to expensive in our second lives.
I am deeply sorry to hear this news, Cracker. You are a wonderful man, and have done much to help us - as well as being a friend. I wish you well, and I hope things change for the better soon and that you will manage to return.
Be well, Cracker. [warm huggs]

Times are tough and I wish you the best man. I am soon to follow in this direction is well. The company I work for is laying off another 2200 people and I'm on the list.
I's going to be sad not seeing you around. You touched alot of people in a positve way.

They say nothing last forever. I ahave been in sl for almost 3 years and you can see a huge decrease in spending now. I'm laying low and waiting it out. I do think it will a long time before it picks up.
Cracker,
Bless Be you, kind of spirit, gentle soul, extraordinary man. You will be missed so much. I will look for you here in the future, I have faith you will not be lost to us forever.
My fingers to your heart. Carry us all there, as we carry you.
My son Cracker, we have been togather for a long time. We have grown togather as father and son. My heart is hurting right now. I know you'll be ok, you have the drive. I will miss you cc son. You always brought a smile to my face. Hurry back so I can smile again. Love you very much hugs and kisses see you very soon. Echo
Keep your chin up, Cracker. I know you will be missed by so many in SL and those bonds never fade. They will still be here when times get better. And they will. Stay positive and take care of business. I hope we all get to see you soon. You'll be in all our thoughts and prayers.
wow... pitty to hear Cracker. We will all miss you a lot for the time you are off line... but I am sure situation will get better for you and you will be back online... everyoner will be waiting you.
When I reached the bottom of this I was in tears. It sounds like your a great person and have fallen like many other on harder times. Wish you the best.
After months of trying to sell my land in sl and no bites I just gave it back. In times like this spending 50usd a month on land I hardly use was my first things on the list to go. If the economy gets much worse I will be cutting back in other areas as well. Sorry to hear your leaving sl not by choice. I hope everything turns around for you and your back on your feet.
Cracks your an amazing guy and friend. I hope to see you back in a flash. God Bless & prayers.
I live in a small town where we don't see the big picture of the ecomony. This right here had shown me it's real and touched my heart.
I also will miss seeing you around. You are a big bundle of joy and will be missed friend.
Store and business have felt the crunch too. My slaes are down 40% and I am reducing my mall rentals. People are finding they don't need the land or the 100 pairs of shoes anymore to have a good time. I have five outfits I and I don't spend any money and have a blast.
Hurry back to us cracker as you will be sadly miss by loads
