Marriage has a nice ring to it

On Friday February 20th, Kiki DeVinna and Larz Beresford were officially married. After an almost 3 year engagement both in and outside of SL. Kiki, owner of Fuze Productions in SL, and Larz Beresford, DJ, musician, and builder exchanged vows. They have been providing entertainment for countless events including Rasta Beach and NEX-Core, as well as crossover events with RL television including The Discovery Channel (USA) and Nest (Zurich). Kiki is also co-owner of FUZE FM, and all-request Internet radio station where Larz does live radio shows from Miami twice weekly.

First, they found a exclusive private location - Every detail was kept secure until an hour before the wedding. The long list of guests were not provided a LM until just an hour or so before the event and access to the land was limited to the private group created solely for this night. Behind the scenes. Kiki and Larz worked tirelessly for weeks for their special night - creatively transforming the site which included an exquisite church, a gorgeous pond complete with Swans, a huge reception tent and stage of marble and draped in the finest silk, and lush landscaping. and a complete fireworks display. All of this built for one nite, for one wedding. Press exclusive coverage was limited for inVd and Vain Magazine. Chantal Harvey did the videography and Jen Moonlight captured candid shots throughout the evening. Traditional wedding portraits were commissioned from Jade Collins to be captured at a later time in yet another secluded location.

A horse-drawn carriage waited outside while Rick Wake, preacher extraordinaire, performed the nuptuals in an intimate chapel and timeless design by Rizla Laval. Tears during the vows exchange turned to cheers as the newly married couple was presented after the ceremony.

It was truly a night for fashions as well. DeVinna's amazing wedding gown was designed exclusively for her by Iota Ultsch of Tres Jolie, was commissioned for an undisclosed amount. The bridesmaids gowns and Maid of Honor's gown were also designed by Iota and had that famous look and style. It was better than what you'd see on the red carpet. Nobody does that like Tres Jolie thats for sure. The groom and groomsman were dressed in the finest from Styles of Edo, named MFA's 2008 Best Male Fashion Label and recipient of Vain Magazine's 2008 Reader's Choice Award. The flower girl wore a dress created by Babydoll Stardust, owner of Babydoll Boutique.

The wedding party included Maid of Honor Dyna Diller, owner of Body Perfect, Best Man Jade Collins of Faith Photography, with Bridesmaids Amare DeCosta and Lunabeam Moonites, and Groomsman Sethe Paine and Octavian Venera. Sethe's beautiful daughter, Sofie, was the flower girl.

All music during the event was provided by Larz himself but also included a few surprises. Carah Nitely flew in from London and performed Etta James' At Last for the couple's first dance, and graciously agreed to remain on stage and perform an intimate concert for the cherished guests, making the night that much more special for all in attendance. There were also toasts and comments from the guests, recorded and played at the reception. The reception also included a menu fitting such an event, from lobster and prime rib to tuxedo strawberries and banana splits.
Larz took the helm after Carah and had the place hopping, cheering, and dancing the night away.

BOOM! A massive display of fireworks. The display of programmed and impromptu fireworks smothered the night sky and proclaimed the endless love between the couple. With guests from as far and wide as Paris, London, and Australia, some staying up till 4am and later just to be a part of this event, it was a night to remember forever. We wish Kiki and Larz the very best and a love that grows even deeper day by day.

From Larz:
Thank you Ammon and Jason for attending and covering our wedding! And thank you to Jade who had to stay up till 6am to be my best man! What a great brother you are :P Kiki and I couldn't be more blessed with our family and friends in here ... We love you all and we were so pleased all of you could share this with us! Thanks to everyone who stayed up to a gawd-awful hour (8pm SL) especially poor Carah Nitely ! She had to fly all the way from the UK in the middle of the night just to sing for us and she STILL brought down the house with her cover of 'At Last'. You all RAWK!

I have been moping around for days, having missed the wedding of my two friends, Kiki and Larz. They both mean so much to me, and to Rasta Beach! Thanks Inv, for telling all!

To Kiki and Larz, True love is always Real love, and your SL marriage is a celebration of the joy you receive from each other and the commitment you make to each other.

And, Larz......Hurt her and I'll hunt you down like the dog you are. :-)

Congratulations Kiki and Larz. I wish you both the very best. It is always great to see just how amazing this digital world of ours can be when we open up our hearts. Edith told me to say "Mazel Tov". She would have come but that last ass-lift apparently was a difficult recovery. You guys should really tell her that just because you can stick a toothpick through pain killers doesn't mean they should garnish a martini. From what I've seen and heard you guys really blew it out of the water.

I am getting married soon and would like to know what chrurch and location is this?

Larz Beresford said...

The location is private vacant land that we purchased and then teraformed, landscaped, and built soley for our use for that one night for our wedding only. The church and the waterfall are the only two things on the land we did NOT build.
The waterfall was purchased from Paradise Waterfalls, owned by Xtasy Veil - tons of great waterfalls, caves, grotto, rocks, and all kinds of great stuff there !
The church is available for sale from Rizla Laval, owner of Riz Designs. If you look him up in search, you will find the link to his sim where he sells castles, homes, and churches. That structure is called 'Wedding Church'. It will rez furnished, but Riz designed it so that you can remove the entire interior and transform it into whatever you like. We loved the rezzed version, but it didn't suit our wedding design, so we gutted it, added our own pews, altar, stained glass, drapes, paintings, etc. While you're at Riz's place, make sure you look at his castles. There are 3 rez boards - pick a structure and it rezzes in front of you. All of his structures are amazing. Great texturing and design. Most castles and churches in SL have thin prim sides, hinky construction, and poor texturing. You won't see anything like that at his place. I can't speak highly enough of his work.
In fact, when I screwed up one of the walls, I contacted him in a panic (2 days before the wedding!) He came, he fixed, and he refused my offer to pay him for his toruble. We also had a nice chat. A very creative builder and excellent customer service! I'm glad someone asked about the church so I could pimp him - he deserves the compliments!

Rick Wake is the best in sl. I have used now 4 times in the past year. I hope he starts giving me discounts. Wishing you both a happier times than me and best wishes.

Ammon Pera said...

OMG 4X he he. Maybe marriage isn't for you.

Larz Beresford said...

I agree. Rick and Lori Wake are the absolute best at what they do. True profesionals with amazing customer skills and they really DO care that everything goes perfect for YOU no matter what is required of them.
