Everyday we see, hear, and read statistics from the media and people, but are they really that accurate. The fact is in rl we fib about our ages all the time. I also know for a fact some people are under 18 in sl. Where is that percentage or an estimate above? To be honest I don't know if any age statistic is really that accurate but it's fun.

Cool chart and interesting.
Interesting, in my SL most are in their 20s and 30s, or come across as being in that age group. But I have chat with a guy in his 80s. And I think that is cool! Someone's RL is their own business, and I only take a polite interest if they want to chat with me about it. I take people as they come, and how they present themselves. I think its the same for everyone, a persons behaviour in SL is far more immediately relevant than if they have a zimmer frame, acne, or need a new toothbrush. SL is the great leveller.
But the 18-24 group on the chart is more or less the same as 35-44. Hmmm, that is strange.
Only two things in SL freak me out regarding age - one is the guys who build a life here as a woman (and vice versa), misleading someone into a whole relationship built on a lie.
The other thing is the kid avitars who act and talk and carry on like children while in RL they could be much older than you. I know they are simply role playing but to me its like having a convo with an adult in a diaper talking baby talk - freaky !
I used to tell ppl I was 80, 300lbs, living in my mothers basement, and munching "hoho's" by the case..
Then I learned they belived me..

The whole children avie is disturbing. I don't get it.
I still think it's hard to have any accuracy with RL demographics in SL. And should it matter? I'm happy with my age, but if you want to play twink during your golden years, more power to you.
