Why is our financial status made public in our profiles? Is it anyone's business? Residents without Payment Information are discriminated against: they cannot attend some clubs, join certain groups or social circles and the list goes on.What are your views on "No Payment Info" being shown in Resident Profiles?

So funny. This guy started talking to me today and I immediately checked his profile. I notice NPI (No Payment Info) and was like LOSER. Maybe it does set nice people up for failure in SL. I never thought of it before.
I always think they are alts.
In About Land, a resident can be blocked from any parcel of land if they are not age verified or if they have not given payment information. I understand age verification for mature sites, but payment info serves no purpose that I can see. Next it will be gender, marital status and species verification. pffft ~;^
I dont think payment status should be included on a profile. When money is involved in anyway it opens doors to alot of things.
....I actually think you should have the option to hide your entire profile.
I started hiding my groups recently and it cut down on the stalkers. Groups can say alot about a person. They can show where you work, hang out, live and the list goes on. Advice hide your groups because there are alot of weirdos out there.
I am so busted. I never thought about it before but I do this all the time.
No pays actualy are the smart ones.
...There was a saying my grandfather use to tell me as a kid. "The men with the fancy shoes are usually the ones with no money".
Great saying. Some people keep their money in a mule avvie. I'm one of em. Just an old habit from having gotten ripped off way back when. Don't need payment info on file for the avvie I use. People shouldn't be so quick to assume NPI means NM(no money). I also own a sim. I like it being connected to my mule and not me. That way nobody hitting on you just looking for a home.
So is this saying people with no money or assume to have no money can't have a second life too. I agree discrimmination.
